Darker Shade of Summer

Too much sun! I wanted to do a darker look, but all the new releases and hunts are in happy summer colours belonging to the beach. Eventually I began playing with the thought of a beach huntress, a pale woman emerging on the seashore only at night, wading in the gentle waves quietly, looking for company who won’t see past the casual disguise…

I took the pictures in Las Rosadas, just darkened its pretty weather into night with windlight settings. I kept most of the look the same, just changed the clothes briefly. Speaking of these clothes and summer things, the Seasons Hunt: Summer has started!

I love these La Morte Dolce necklaces by .( bewildebeest ). and I admit that they pretty much spawned the whole concept for the beach huntress. Beautiful, deceivingly modern and full of death. The new colour in LaGyo’s peonies (conveniently in the Dressing Room at the moment) was another thing that made me squee. Blood-red is so winter, hmm? Fashionable hunters can certainly wear aqua in the summer.

Call for Couture Festival 2010

So this is how my Tuesday afternoon went, shopping, lunch, chit chat, shopping, snack, nap and then shopping. Why so much shopping you ask? Because I have a problem. And yes, i do admit I am an addict because I LOVE FREEKIN AWESOME CLOTHES!!!!!

My trip de jour consisted of grabbing my spend-a-holic girlfriend Reign Congrejo and two new and awesome friends, Aisling and Suri… boy, oh boy, did we tear it up at the Call for Couture Festival 2010. This is organized by the event planning company that put on the Black and Blue Fair (June 2010), the Summer of Love Fair (July 2010) and the Platinum Hunt (August 2010). There are 150 brands with many to bid on a one- of- a- kind item ranging from skins, to Haute Couture to jewelry. From the auction items, 50% of the final sales proceeds will go to The Samaritans, a RL 24/7 charity group assisting “people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which could lead to suicide”.
